Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

The LCSW/LCMHC will provide behavioral health services to clients facing complex health and social challenges associated with mental health and/or developmental delay. The LCSW/LCMHC will drive all psychosocial aspects of the client's treatment plan, in close collaboration with the entire care team. The LCSW/LCMHC is primarily responsible for driving all therapy activities in the clinic, serving as a crisis management resource, and supporting clients in defining and reaching their goals.

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Conduct behavioral health assessments of all new and re-enrolling clients to determine the appropriate level of care for each client

  • Co-manage the treatment of client psychiatric, psychosocial, physical health-related, and behavioral health needs throughout the client's treatment journey

  • Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients

  • Lead regular group therapy sessions with five to ten clients focused on specific topics and targeted for specific client populations

  • Collaborate with community partners to reinforce behavioral health principles and interventions during navigation sessions

  • Coordinate with external behavioral health treatment facilities, assisting with referrals to and from higher levels of care when needed

  • Proactively identify methods to improve the program based on feedback from clients, including ideas for new services to offer to certain client populations

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Fully Licensed LCSW or LCSWA or LCMHC

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, family therapy, or related field

  • Experience providing mental health treatment to clients with dual diagnoses

  • Excellent working knowledge of evidence-based treatments for behavioral health conditions

  • Highly skilled in behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, contingency management, and motivational interviewing

  • Experience working with clients with multiple medical and behavioral health diagnoses is preferred, but not required

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with exceptional active listening abilities

  • Highly empathetic, non-judgmental, and open-minded

  • Experience in a collaborative team environment

  • Located in or willing to relocate or commute to the Marion/Morganton area

  • Able to travel to clinic site daily

  • TFCBT certification is preferred but not required.
